Obtain Your KreatorAI API Key
Open the Kreator AI App -> Settings -> Developer & MCP -> Click '+ Create App'. Copy the generated secret key (it begins with kreator_live_).
Claude.ai (Web Browser Setup)
In Claude.ai, open Settings -> Connectors -> Click 'Add custom connector'. Set Name to 'KreatorAI' and paste your Streamable HTTP URL: https://backend.kreatoraistudio.com/mcp?key=YOUR_SECRET_API_KEY. Click Continue.
Claude Desktop App Setup
Open your claude_desktop_config.json file (paths shown above) and add the 'kreatorai' entry under 'mcpServers'. Save and restart Claude Desktop.
Invoke KreatorAI in Conversation
In any chat, ask Claude: 'Use KreatorAI to generate a 60-second YouTube Shorts script about 5 productivity hacks for video editors.' Claude will call the tool and return the structured script!

When giving autonomous agents like Claude or Cursor access to control KreatorAI, robust guardrails are essential. KreatorAI provides fine-grained permission scopes, human-in-the-loop approval gates, daily spend caps, and workspace isolation.

Human-in-the-Loop Gates
Enable approval_required: true to ensure that any content, script, or social post created via MCP is tagged with status awaiting_approval.
Posts and scripts will NEVER go live until a human creator explicitly taps “Approve” in the mobile or web app.
Daily Spend Caps & Isolation
Set a daily credit budget (e.g. 50 or 100 credits/day) per API key to prevent runaway generation loops from autonomous background agents.
Lock an API key to a specific workspace_idso client-specific agents cannot access another brand's proprietary knowledge base or projects.
Agentic Full-Loop Content Generation with Claude
Claude can now control KreatorAI completely autonomously using the generate_full_project tool. All content creation questions (platform, target audience, tone of voice, duration, hook strategy) can be self-answered by Claude based on conversation context.

KreatorAI implements the November 2024 Model Context Protocol specification (2024-11-05). Unlike older SSE implementations that require persistent event streams and trigger deprecation warnings in Claude, KreatorAI exposes a clean stateless Streamable HTTP JSON-RPC gateway at /mcp while retaining full backwards compatibility with SSE clients at /mcp/sse.
Authentication: How is my key passed?
Your developer key can be supplied via query parameter (?key=kreator_live_...), standard Authorization: Bearer <key> header, or X-API-Key header. Query parameter authentication is recommended for zero-config integration with Claude custom connectors and Cursor remote MCP.
Troubleshooting: Error 401 Unauthorized
Verify that your API key is active in Kreator AI → Settings → Developer & MCP. If you rotated or deleted the key, generate a new one and update your config file or connector URL.
Zero Deprecation Warnings in Claude
Claude recently announced the deprecation of raw SSE connector configurations in favor of Streamable HTTP endpoints. KreatorAI is already native Streamable HTTP, guaranteeing your integration will continue functioning indefinitely without changes.
